Giselle
The two-act performance was created on the basis of the old poetic legend about the Willis, written by Heinrich Heine. The ballet is about a peasant girl named Giselle, who dies of a broken heart after discovering her beloved is betrothed to another woman.
The first joyful and colorful act contrasts with the ethereal and shadowy second act. At night, leaving the graves, Willis take revenge for their ruined lives. Any man caught in the shrouded forest between midnight and dawn will be forced to dance until they die. But Giselle’s love for Duke Albrecht was stronger than evil.

O ballet em dois atos foi criado com base na antiga lenda poética sobre as Willis, escrita por Heinrich Heine. A narrativa é sobre uma camponesa chamada Giselle, que morre de coração partido depois de descobrir que seu amado está prometido à outra.
O primeiro ato colorido e alegre contrasta com o segundo ato etéreo e sombrio. À noite, deixando suas sepulturas, as Willis buscam vingança por suas vidas arruinadas. Qualquer homem pego na densa floresta entre meia-noite e a madrugada será forçado a dançar até morrer. No entanto, o amor de Giselle pelo duque Albrecht se revela mais forte que o mal.
